The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic 🙏

The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is the shrine where the sacred left tooth relic of the Buddha is enshrined. This sacred site is located in the Kandy District. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is deeply revered and venerated by Buddhists. The city of Kandy, which includes the Temple of the Tooth, has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The temple was originally built by King Vimaladharmasuriya I, while the two-storied building seen today was constructed by King Sri Veera Parakraman Narendra Singha. Daily offerings and rituals are conducted for the Sacred Tooth Relic. These ceremonies are held three times a day.
